Overview

Flincap is a platform for OTC crypto exchangers that integrates seamless payment APIs, secure transactions, and payment processing to create a comprehensive platform for OTC crypto exchangers.

Key Contributions

My key contributions to the project include:

• Collaborated with designers to transform Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive, and interactive web applications, enhancing user experience and driving higher engagement rates.
• Leveraged front-end frameworks like React and Next.js to build scalable, reusable UI components, improving development efficiency and maintaining consistency across multiple projects.
• Integrated backend APIs with front-end components, ensuring optimal performance and delivering smooth, user-friendly experiences.
• Partnered with backend developers to resolve complex integration issues, enabling flawless functionality and minimizing downtime during deployment.
• Implemented schema-validation libraries like Zod to maintain data integrity and validate user input across forms and API requests, significantly reducing errors and ensuring robust application security.
• Utilized Git for streamlined version control and GitHub for efficient code collaboration, maintaining a clean commit history, and orchestrating smooth pull request management for rapid feature deployment.

Project Features

I contributed to the development of Flincap's exchange rate management interface. This crucial component allows users, like merchants to set and manage exchange rates for various cryptocurrencies. Key features of this interface include:

• Rate Type Selection: Users can choose between 'Flexible Rate' and 'Fixed Rate' options, giving them control over how rates are determined.
• Auto Payout Toggle: An option to enable automatic payouts in local currency (Naira in this case) to complete trades.
• Cryptocurrency Listing: Displays various cryptocurrencies (including Bitcoin, USDT BEP20, USDT TRC20) along with their current market rates, exchange rates, and customizable spread.
• Real-time Market Data and Customization: Displays up-to-date market rates for listed cryptocurrencies in both USD and local currency (NGN), while allowing users to adjust spreads for each cryptocurrency. This combination of live data and customizable pricing enables flexible and responsive trading strategies.

This project demonstrates my ability to work on complex financial interfaces, integrate real-time data, and create user-friendly dashboards for cryptocurrency trading platforms.

What I Learned

Working on Flincap gave me invaluable hands-on experience with several technologies and industry practices. Here are a few of them highlighted below:

• I learned how to fetch, display, and manipulate real-time data efficiently, which is essential for dynamic trading platforms like Flincap .
• Implementing Zod taught me the importance of schema validation in ensuring data integrity and error-free interactions between frontend and backend.
• Maintaining clean commit histories and collaborating on code through pull requests enhanced my ability to manage codebases in a collaborative team setting.
• Working with Tailwind CSS and collaborating with designers helped me better understand the nuances of translating Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive user interfaces.
